Summer 2018 Intern Spotlight-Logan

We are excited to introduce you to our 2018 summer intern! The internship program at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lubbock is designed to give undergraduate students the opportunity to obtain professional experience while in turn assisting the agency in our program efforts.

BBBS interns assist the Program staff in daily tasks such as school visits, intake, assessments, eligibility determination, record keeping, and maintenance of records.

Meet Logan

Where are you originally from, what is your major and what year are you?

Hamilton, TX/ Human development family studies

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Teacher, CPS worker, anything with helping people

What is a typical day as an intern at BBBS?

Sitting in on interview, introductions, and writing assessments

How did you hear about this internship opportunity and what steps did you take to get here?

It was on a list of choices we were given for our practicum class. Had to get approved and then interview and approved by BBBS

Why did you choose to intern at BBBS Lubbock?

I have never worked with them and wanted to see what it was like.

What are you hoping to learn while interning at BBBS?

To expand my knowledge about nonprofits and what they can do.

Gender Development

Jurassic World
